I earned a Master of Arts (M.A) in Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited graduate program at the Palo University in Palo Alto, CA, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from University of California, Davis. Since 2013, my professional experiences have allowed me to work in various settings (Clinical, Community-Based, School-Based, and Psychiatric) with families and individuals (children, adolescents, and adults) of different cultural backgrounds. I often use an integrative approach that includes several evidenced-based treatment modalities that I find best fit with clients’ needs such as: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (i.e. mindfulness), Psychodynamic, Motivational Interviewing, Strength-based, and Solution-focused to help clients meet their treatment goals.
With over 8 years of experience serving the community providing clinical therapy, I am currently serving as the Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) of Uplift Psychology Group in San Jose, CA. My clinical areas of interests and experience includes depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, stress management, parenting, behavioral issues, family conflict, self-esteem, anger, grief/loss, and trauma.
I have a genuine desire to guide individuals to grow, strive, and thrive. It is believed that the healing process begins with a therapeutic relationship. My authenticity and ability to use humor in sessions with my clients help me build a strong connection and relationship with clients to begin their journey of growth and healing. Through that foundation, clients will learn how to develop healthy relationships with people in their own life. Clients need a safe and non-judgmental space to gain confidence to share and express what they are unable to with people in their life. My directive approach will challenge clients to take what they learn in therapy and make changes that they need to reach the ideal life that they want to live! I am here to help you find the support you deserve!
